1. I thought you were really looking for a tech/creative reporter type of person, not just an actor. Don't you want a show with substance and fun? Don't you want to take it to the next level? I really thought you wanted another TechGirl similar to Veronica - who absolutely rocked.

2. Mahalo Daily isn't a tech podcast, so why would they get a tech person as host? Sure Veronica was techy, but did you notice how few of the episodes actually had anything to do with tech?

On the other hand, I think it IS important that they pick someone who is a bit of a geek. That was Veronica's appeal on Mahalo Daily, since she was identifiable to the people who watch the show.

Likewise, getting someone who is a little geeky will provide some assurance that the host has an interest in continuing with the show longer term. Someone who is "just an actor" is always looking for the next great thing and probably won't stick around long.

My $0.02... whatever that's worth in today's economy...

4. Nadine is the obvious choice. She's got the right combo of sexiness, flirtatiousness, spunkiness, the camera loves her-ness. Veronica was the reason I followed her to subscribe to Mahalo Daily, if Nadine doesn't become the host I will definitely never watch Mahalo Daily again.
