I wish there was a tapas bar like this in Los Angeles.

2. Absolutely YUM, but how does your wife feel about you taking pictures during the meal? My GF would have me on the couch if I did that. :-)

3. There is nothing like Tapas in Spain. You should also check out Seville the birthplace of Tapas.
Have you been to Ciudad (http://www.yelp.com/biz/924CYBevtMaqZnCs4ipj6Q) in LA? They have pretty good Latin American inspired Tapas and great Mojitos.

4. Now that's delicious and delightful! I hope you open a tapas place. There's something so wonderful about small plates of food especially sharing with someone special. Enjoy Spain!

6. Mmmm... a 50 euros bill in tapas... did you know how bad tapas are for losing weight, my dear fatblogger? Tell us when you're back to LA...

9. The pimientos padrons look scrumptuous!! One of my favorite tapas dishes when I visit Barcelona-- I only wish I could find it in NYC!
Been a lurker of your work on & off since the Silicon Alley days--congrats on all of your success!
Enjoy the tapas....you can get back to fatblogging when you get back! ;-)

10. Seriously, what camera do you use? These pictures are amazing. They've got me salivating so bad... I'm off to lunch.

11. Ha! When i lived in barca i begged these folks (they also operate a few other joints) to open an outpost in l.a. (check out "paco meralgo" their place on muntaner)
they just laughed at me.
i went so far as collect all their menus and try to get some of my spanish friends to think about doing it.
it seems like such a simple concept. when nicholas butterworth and his wife visited in barca they kept sneaking back the place every day!
nothing. nothing. is quite like this in l.a. cobras and matadors closest and cuidad sucks, . . but nothing even remotely close

13. Jason:
Remember in 1999 - the ( Internet entrepreneurs and experts) dinner we had in Barcelona ? I believe it was at the Siete Portals. We were all in BCN for the IGC conference and I was also working with a Barcelona based portal called Telepolis - who wanted to come to the USA to compete with Starmedia. Both companies were eventually swallowed up by Terra ( or the remnants in the case of Starmedia )
I get to Barcelona about once a year now, and do like the Comtal the best!

14. You can get very decent tapas in LA at La Paella (Wilshire w/ San Vicente). And the paella is very good, of course. If you go, say hi to Vicente, a genuine Valencian, on my behalf :-)

15. Tapas are addictive but “Food Photography” looks like something you should become passionate about. Your photos are beautiful and the lighting is to die for!

16. Amazing! I just ate there two days ago and had dinner at Cerveseria Catalana (which is ran by the same company) and the tapas were amazing. I had some of the ones you took pictures of. I would also want to know what camera you use, amazing pics!
