(Page 1 of 1)3. Ah, man. It took a lot of guts (no pun intended) to post that pic on my blog with it's measly 10-reader circulation. Then you post it here.
Now I'm doubly motivated: (1) to lose weight and (2)do better in my ventures so that I don't go down in history as "that fat blogger guy".

4. He doesn't have to give up bread, pasta or sugar, he just needs to eat reasonable portions at each meal, snack healthy and exercise vigorously for 20 minutes a day, six days a week. I went from 198 to 175 in three months with that basic plan, and I still drink 60 ounces of diet soda a day and eat pasta for dinner at least three nights a week.
Oh, yeah, and no alcohol whatsoever. Sorry.

7. So does this mean when you meet others with man-boobs at conferences you are going to judge them?
Some of us are still stuck in a cube, didn't get a big pay out and can't work from home and blog while we work out - even though a good wwork out is what we really need.

8. definitely don't have to give up bread and pasta - in fact, it's important to have a well rounded diet (all the weight you lose on a low carb plan generally comes right back, plus some).
chicken, fish, veggies and whole grains buddy. gets it every time.

9. Jeff, I also think that I can lose weight without cutting out the foods I like. Your plan is pretty close to what I'm doing.
That said, there are definitely some health benefits to eating less fatty foods or foods that won't put you in a coma after lunch (carbs), but my goal right now is to lose weight. To do that, I just need to eat less Calories and be more active.
Jimmy, I think you're referring to Mr. Calacanis, but in case you were lumping me in there... I haven't had a fat (there's that word again) payout, but I do work from home. I sympathize with the cube workers and business travelers. I was one of you for the past couple years. If you could possibly find a way to go independent or somehow work from home, you should go for it. It's been great for my life, my relationship, my family, my mental and physical health, and with fingers-crossed my bank account too. It's by far the best decision I ever made... though I realize I'm lucky to be able to do it.

1. Ah man boobs. Aren't they lovely? Jason, Jason, and all the other Jasons out there-- you can do it! (Having a treadmill in the bedroom/office definitely helps)
Frankly, I have found Weight Watchers to be amazing. You stay with it for one year (just get on ebay and get the slide rule and basic booklets and learn to read labels)-- it will change your life. Eventually you will develop an eye for "points" and soon after you won't even think about it, you'll just know what is too much...
Like the old lady I saw on the news "be active, stay happy and go to bed a little hungry" She's in her 90's and doesn't look a day over 70.
