Member RSS feeds on Netscape
Someone figured out that users have RSS feeds on Netscape... we were gonna hold off on exposing this a little bit more because of server strain issues, but I guess the cat is out of the bag.
I wonder what other features the users will find before we annouce them!

(Page 1 of 1)2. I love what you are doing - the fact that you are paying bloggers and bookmarkers, and I think this is much better than the standard Web 2.0 approach ("site gets all the profit, users who create content get nothing").
However, I have a little critique: just compare the Netscape.com and Digg.com pages. Digg looks much cleaner. Large fonts, little visual noise, pleasant colors. Netscape.com seems full of visual noise, it's like a scribbled site.
Leaving the visual noise aside, look at some elements. The Digg "number of diggs" plate at the left of each story looks good (nice gradient, nice yellow color). The netscape one looks bad (just an orange outline).
The "visit site" logo which appears to the right of each story looks bad. Can't you just remove it? This simple improvement will make the site visually better.
Digg uses warm colors, Netscape uses cold colors. Digg suggests optimism and good feelings, Netscape suggests bad weather and bad feelings.
In my humble opinion, AOL / Netscape.com needs to hire a very good designer and do a redesign of the site.

3.
Netscape users are really wat to diferent of Digg, iciud, etc. sites.
You can tell only by watching wich stories hit de home page at Netscape.
Do you think that a fellow from digg bookmarking will be usefull for your public?
Cheers.

4. Jason,
I really enjoy your blog and I think your points re: audience segmentation and the role of editors vs. digg make a ton of sense. It's been fun following this in real-time.
Regarding member RSS feeds - it's a great idea. I think subscribing to people's content streams makes a ton of sense. I'd be curious about the uptake you get on this.
Good luck.

1. You may want to change the Netscape picture/icon that is attached to the feed. It looks horrible in Bloglines.
