2. I think the difference is that Digg's ads work with the design--they are minimalist. Netscape launched with a bunch on in your face ads that were really distracting. Digg has put a big focus on design and it shows. It has gotten better and better, especially with the new rev 3.
4. Jason, I doubt anybody is listening. I think it's pretty obvious you're just a competitor just taking shots at the competition.

5. What does it matter? Digg, as well as AOL, are always looking to make money when providing a high-quality service.

6. Congrats Jason, you managed to reload the page enough to catch one. I visited digg easily over 100 page views today to check out their new stuff and havent seen one yet. If you have to make an update because you just now find the graphical banners for their site it doesn't quite negate the fact that Netscape ads are (mostly) graphical and stick out like a sore thumb.

7. I think his point is very valid. The ads aren't as out of your face as they used to be. I'm not having any trouble seeing several animated graphical ads when I'm at the site. Maybe not as in your face as at Netscape, but they're there, and way more noticable than they use to be.
