More on AIMPages...
The best part of this is that some folks are realizing that we've created the most open service ever by one of the big five (Google, AOL, Yahoo, MSN, Fox Interactive).

(Page 1 of 1)2. There seem to be a lot of stylesheet errors at least using firefox, so I am hoping they go away rather quickly. I think AOL has a great concept, but the other thing I would like to see in the future is a very easy way to create modules. The amount of new modules that exist will help the popularity of the site. The platform is open, which will provide the maximum extensibility, which is one reason myspace is so popular. It looks very promising.

3. "I wonder if/when MySpace is going to put ...module[s] into their page designer??!?!?"
Probably never. Sad to say, the MySpace community has accepted that you can only use CSS and Flash to modify your profile page, and I don't think MySpace minds... their product is not scaling well, and I think any additional strain on the servers would only make the behemoth even slower -- I was shocked when I saw you could add video to your profile.
MySpace's biggest problem is that none of the cool stuff is out on your main profile. Viewing blog posts, pictures, groups, adding comments, or sending a friend request all force a page reload -- I guess this means they display more ads, but it means more waiting for me.
I like the idea of putting my own modules on my front page with content from all over the web, especially RSS feeds. The only way I see to add a feed to MySpace now is FeedBurner's Headline Animator -- this is not enough.
4. One of Ryan's complaints about MySpace is the page load required to send a friend request. But I find the process for adding a buddy in AIM Pages infuriating. First you have to go to their profile and click "Add Buddy." In my opinion, that should be the only step. But it's is an aim: link and all it does is add them to your AIM (IM) buddy list, and if you're in a library or internet cafe without AIM installed, it won't work at all. You'll have to go to AIM Express or Meebo and do it manually. Then you have to go to your profile and click on Edit, which (eventually) takes you to the profile editor where you hover over the My Buddies box and click Edit. Then you find the buddy you just added to AIM proper, click on the check box, click save, and then Publish (which of course prompts you to confirm that you really want to publish).
Mind you, I generally like AIM Pages (and can't stand MySpace) and I understand it says "BETA" for a reason, but the above is nearly nine clicks (and at least a minute of waiting for pages to load) to do something that should take at most two.

5. Oops, I meant "at least nine clicks," not "nearly."

1. Jason: Yahoo 360 and MSN Spaces *both* support adding delicious/AOL Photos/Flickr, etc. from inside the page designers via RSS modules. AOL hasn't created the most open service of the big portals... this sounds like misguided marketing speak ;) But you guys did make it a tad bit easier.
