(Page 1 of 1)2. One of the best "speaches" ive heard in a long time. The iPod disguists me just as much, and it isnt just the fact that steve 'spin doctor' jobs has locked it down with DRM, its also how hes manipulating the general public with an amazing ad campaign and clever way of forcing users to submit to iTunes limitations. Not only is the music you mentioned DRM'ed, but also much less the quality of a CD, and even so, for almost the same price doesnt include the case or cover art (which some are actually very impressive). Even when using iTunes, the forced use of ACC is there, a Hollywood driven audio format to go along with h.264 for the masses. Each song that is imported to an itunes library is copied into this format, and then onto the ipod, and even if you own the original CD, you cant take BACK those songs from the iPod. The iPod gets WORSE with missing STANDARD features such as a 5band EQ, something which almost every other player has for a great sound. Like almost all other mp3 players, its still missing radio, line in, and microphone and costs significantly more than the competition. Why? It sickens me even more considering that Steve Jobs has fooled 40 million people and counting into buying this limiting product, that is ultimately useless with a non-removable battery, which if you want to remove yourself, you VOID your warranty! Insane. Anyway, Im doing my thesis in college called "The Politics of Advertising," a paper which adresses the flaws and moral issues in advertising a product or service. Id like to use the video in my project as a CD will go with it with video content. Is there more to the video that I could see? Who do I contact for "rights" for the use of this video? Thanks!

1. I agree with your point 100%, it is sad that we limit ourselves in this world for the sake of money, but thats the way the world works. For every person out theres that comes up with a great idea because they love the subject matter theres someone else that wants to take it and enforce limits on it for the sake of making money. Its sad to say, but money makes the world go round.
