Yes, it’s true.
I’m in a conference room at AOL right now running down a list of 15-20 press calls with Jim Bankoff…Â exciting news.
If you’re in the press and want to talk to AOL email me at jason at calacanis dot com.

(Page 1 of 2)3. What is the future of the bloggers in your network? Who will determine future blog direction across Weblogs Inc. properties? Will Blogsmith continue to be a product offering?

10. Fantastic work! I think this seems to really fit with AOL's strategy of becoming a content producer, and you guys at Weblogs, Inc. certainly have got plenty of content! Congrats on this reward you've earned.

12. Jason, Congratulations! While I was thinking of a blog you were "doing it". Cannot understand why some blogs carry Google Ads while others don't.

19. Jason, that's the smartest thing AOL has done yet. I must say, their new portal looks good, their cust service is improving (they only had UP to go); they even have tabbed browsing in their IE AOL browser. That doesn't mean I necessarily think they are the best company in the world, but it's nice to see an albatross start to look at fresh new ideas and actually look at web trends. Are they under new mgmt? I am actually looking forward to seeing their next move. Think MS is still interested in buying them? If so, I guess that means the Unofficial Apple Weblog will be ultimately owned by Microsoft (oh, the irony!). BTW, I got a recruitment call a few months ago about writing content for AIM but I would have had to relocate so I passed (was hard to do), and now I see they are releasing the AIM Triton Beta as a preview. Looks good. Nice to see all the IM clients are looking at emulating Skype. Imitation IS the sincerest form of flattery (in business especially). Good move on their part.
20. nice job jason... make sure Jade gets something really indulgent for the holidays this year :) - dave mcclure / www.simplyhired.com
