Anyone out there have experience with the extended batteries out there for IBM Thinkpads? I have one of the IBM ones and it’s good, but I need to get two more extra ones for the flights to Europe/China.
On that note, anyone know of a totally sick laptop that gets sick battery life? Might be cheaper for me to put the $300-400 in batteries towards a super long life laptop.

(Page 1 of 1)2. Powerbooks get great battery life and the 12" model is sweet for long flights.

3. Jason, you might want to check out the NCharge from Valence: http://www.valence.com/ncharge.asp. It's a big battery that can also be used for cellphones, etc. I've not used it, but have heard good things about it, and you can take it with you if you switch notebooks.

I tested this camera for a client. I didn’t have the light running for more than 15 minutes. The battery lasted approximately 6 hours before recharging. The LCD, however, had a few dead pixels - never saw this before. Tried returning for exchange and had to put up quite a fight. Anyone else seen this? http://www.batterylaptoppower.com

1. The thin little Vaio's (exact same model as the 12" Mac laptop) is great. I got about 6 hours on it in "power saving" mode, almost 8 with the extended battery. As an alternative, you may want to get one of the chargeable laptop bags. I demo'd those for a while too. They're crack assed heavy, but they'll give your laptop 1-2 full charges too. Great for planes. Awful for walking around.
